Train Ride Shenanigans

On my way back from Central, instead of slouching and playing on my phone during the train ride, I decided to make better use of my time. I walked from one end of the train to the other, handing out flyers and promoting the temple. I engaged in conversations with people, interacting and bringing the community together.

Though some people ignored me or gave me dirty looks, many others smiled and showed genuine interest. One group of ladies was trying to get me to take my top off while others told me their own martial arts stories; There was this one kid who, sitting with his some what serious face, could be mistaken as a screw faced youth that you wouldn't want to approach, but when he heard the word "Shaolin," his face lit up with a smile, and the positive energy was palpable even through the video. I handed out a total of 250leaflets.

Another fantastic encounter was with a 63-year-old guy who shared his training methods with me. I told him about the temple and the Steel Warriors project that takes knifes off the streets and turns them into local calisthenic parks. It was a great exchange of words, a little ab check, and some huh kicks, all in good fun.

The train ride flew by with all the interactions and conversations. I reached home with good memories and stories to share. I made a video capturing these experiences, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did living it. Big up to all the people out there! @Lan Lan 蓝蓝
